West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has issued notification for recruitment of Assistant Professor. All eligible candidates can apply on or before 11th February 2014 in prescribed format given in Advertisement.

Total no. of vacancies :726
Age limit : Candidates age should not more than 37 years as on 1st January 2014. Age relaxation is applicable as per the Govt. Rules
Educational Qualification : Candidates must have had good academic record and possess the qualification of Masters' Degree level with at least 55% in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an Equivalent degree from accredited foreign University for Assistant Professor (Arts, Humanities, Science, Social Science , Commerce ,Education , Languages , Law ) for General Degree Colleges.
Application Fee : Rs. 210 by Indian Postal Order and Crossed & endorsed to The Secretary , Public Service Commission ,West Bengal , or by a receipted Challan from Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or The Reserve Bank of India , Kolkata Under the head "0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees -001-Examination fees -16 other fees" . SC /ST and Person with Disabilities of West Bengal are exempted from paying Application fee.
